How do I become a member of Roswell City Dance?
Roswell City Dance holds annual auditions to determine membership and the technical proficiency level of each of its dancers. Audition information can be found on this website on the Audition Page. Families relocating to the area can be accomodated for auditions in a number of ways including video application. For more information, please contact the Director.
Where does RCD perform?
Roswell City Dance annually presents the WINTER CONCERT in February each year. Performances take place at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center where the company presents its full repertory for the season. Additionally, Roswell City Dance performs at local events and local and national talent competitions. Check the website regularly for performance dates and details.
Can my dancer try an RCD class before auditioning?
We'd be happy to give you information on classes your dancer might be interested in trying. Dancers and parents are also welcome to observe a class to see if RCD is a good fit for your dancer's needs.
What is the parent involvement expected of RCD's members?
RCD relies greatly on the volunteerism of parents of its dancers. Each parent in the company is required to fulfill a minimum volunteer requirement (8 hours for Petite Elite Company members and 16 hours for Principal Company members) with volunteer positions including: ushering, concessions, costume help (seamstress committee, rhinestoning, alterations), service on the Parent Association Board, fundraising, hospitality, and many more.
